I ran into a small issue with one of my dynamic templates where the placeholder reference for Coveo was incorrect however due to the nature of the page - Sitecore's experience editor didn't really work for me. I initially opened a ticket but upon stumping first level support I decided I had to find a solution.
It uses the parent renderings UID's first seven characters.
/global-header/search-box/coveo-ui-external-components_dynamic_coveoa1e37ac6

How to get the UID information --> Look at the raw renderings output's XML.
